NDI Engineering Company is seeking Junior Logisticians to join our team in Philadelphia and assist with supporting the US Navy.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in the development or updating of ILS products for U.S. Navy HM&E systems and equipment. Specific experience in Navy Integrated Logistics, the Navy Provisioning process, and the Navy supply system with the ability to organize and manage large part databases is required. Adherence to written policies and work instructions is a must.

Discipline to create, manage and update spreadsheets with progress on vendor surveys.

A willingness to learn and collaborate in high-involvement work team environment under the supervision of lead engineers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Vendor Survey’s- will be assigned to follow NDI processes to contact vendors in regards to part identification, procurement details, and retrieval of vendor documentation.
  • Logistics Research- will be assigned with researching technical information on various Navy databases (OneTouch, FEDMALL, Deckplate, etc.) to collect part information.
  • Case Management- Managing obsolescence cases using excel trackers to create/develop, update, and close out cases and to track current/outstanding workload on programs.
  • Reporting- will be assigned to develop bi-weekly/monthly/quarterly reports in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. This will include consolidating information from Vendor Survey’s and Cases to provide updated status.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a DoD Secret clearance.
  • Individual shall possess a High school diploma or GED.
  • This work is NOT remote. Working in the Philadelphia, PA office is required.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills to be able to communicate with customers and vendors.
  • Ability to review technical documentation at a basic level and communicate with engineers on solutions to obsolescence issues.
  • Experience with Microsoft office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and work somewhat independently are highly desirable traits.
  • Exposure to online part catalogs and researching how to find alternate parts from distributors.
