NDI Engineering Company is seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Network Engineer to support the design, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of critical network infrastructure supporting Aviation Data Management and Control Systems (ADMACS). This includes network systems across aircraft carriers, military installations, communications platforms, and data centers.

The ideal candidate is resilient, adaptable, and willing to work in physically demanding environments, including naval vessels, remote field sites, and other challenging conditions.

Role Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure, mission-critical network systems
  • Support troubleshooting and performance optimization of network infrastructure
  • Work under the guidance of senior engineers to ensure reliability, security, and compliance
  • Interpret and assist with network documentation, diagrams, and schematics
  • Participate in field deployments aboard ships and remote installations
  • Help maintain cybersecurity standards across all network operations
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • 0–3 years of relevant experience (internships, academic projects, or co-ops included)
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts: TCP/IP, routing, switching, network protocols, and network security
  • Familiarity with network tools, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to interpret network diagrams and documentation
  • Knowledge of network virtualization and cloud networking is a plus
  • Familiarity with operating systems (Linux/Windows) and network configuration tools is desirable
  • CompTIA Security+ (Required within role)
  • Cisco CCNA (Preferred)
  • Ability to complete 40 hours of OS training
  • Highly adaptable and flexible under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills in high-stress or resource-constrained environments
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
  • Commitment to cybersecurity, attention to detail, and professional integrity
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work in austere conditions
  • Ability to work in noisy, confined, hot/cold, humid, or hazardous environments
  • Physically able to:
    • Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
    • Climb ladders/stairs, kneel, crawl, and stoop for extended periods
    • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots
  • Manual dexterity and motor skills for handling tools and equipment
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
